MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Engineering Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring rapid delivery of platform features, ensuring SLAs are always exceeded, and driving continuous improvement and efficiencies in the delivery organization. Duties include:
· Directly hiring, managing, motivating, and developing 15+ direct reports comprised of SW and QA engineers.
· Continuously improving practices, tools, and infrastructure that drive rapid delivery of SW capabilities that exceed stringent SLA requirements.
· Driving the definition and build-out of a flexible, services-oriented architecture that facilitates the delivery of messaging, payments, web sites, and/or other facets related to the mobile industry.
· Actively working with the Product organization on product strategy and feature roadmaps.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of software delivery experience in Internet and/or mobile technologies primarily in Java environments
- 5+ years managerial experience in start-up like environments using iterative development methodologies
- Customer focused and ownership-oriented

- Knowledge of mobile messaging, payments, and Internet technologies – solid experience in high volume transactional/messaging environments
- Need to be able to work at a high level but dive deep when necessary

- Must work well in and facilitate collaborative/team-oriented working environment.
