Title: Senior Carrier Account Manager - Mobile - Seattle

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Senior Carrier Account Manager will cultivate, develop and manage executive level relationships to advance the company business partnerships and programs with mobile operators. The Senior Carrier Account Manager will be responsible for facilitating and supporting the Carrier Organization and its daily activities. The Senior Carrier Account Manager will be the internal point of contact for all carrier related topics/issues within the company in addition to acting as the owner of the overall business relationship with the carrier.

 

Major Responsibilities:

·        Manage strategic business relationships with mobile operators

·        Create and deliver to strategic account plans

·        Continually expand depth and width of key relationships within each carrier

·        Drive revenue performance at the operator level

·        Advance the company’s strategic direction and socialize forward-looking corporate initiatives to uncover synergies and influence carrier roadmaps

·        Understand key carrier initiatives and roadmaps, communicate to appropriate parties internally

·        Serve as the primary point of escalation for internal groups within the company for all named account carrier-related issues

·        Understand and evangelize key carrier-related CP initiatives

·        Manage all owned initiatives within Carriers Relations and manage project timelines internally and externally. Track open projects within and ensure follow up

·         Coordinate all aspects of carrier meetings on a monthly and quarterly basis both externally and internally; includes identifying necessary participants, creating required materials, owning the overall presentation and delivering the business update. Own monthly and quarterly review follow ups.

·         Coordinate contract execution with company Legal and administrative staff, capturing feedback from various functional groups, redlining said agreements and negotiating the business terms with the outside party.

·        Serve as subject matter expert for all aspects of assigned carrier accounts including, contract terms, policies, organizational structure, key initiatives etc.

·        Stay current with industry news to educate carrier partners on other aspects of the mobile content/mobile marketing ecosystem and evangelize the aggregator and content provider business perspective

·         Help advance projects within the company by identifying correct contacts/departments within carriers to address specific issues and enforcing committed timelines.

·         Provide monthly carrier updates to relevant company parties

 

Competencies/Essential Skills/Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years of technology account management experience, preferably in wireless messaging infrastructure or services, commerce services, or content management/delivery systems/services
  • Carrier industry experience strongly desired
  • Working knowledge of mobile payment methodologies, including Premium SMS, WAP Billing, other operator billing options, alternative payment mechanisms, and mobile messaging and connectivity platforms including SMS and MMS solutions.
  •  Knowledge of the mobile commerce industry.
  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to quickly negotiate and reach consensus across diverse groups/teams a must.
  •  Must possess a collaborative working style and thrive in a team environment.
  •  Possess strong, pragmatic approach for achieving rapid results in a fast-paced, high-risk market space.
  • Energetic self-starter with ability to work independently in a competitive and fast-paced environment.  Strong work ethic is critical.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Spanish fluency an asset



Education/Training Required:

  • Bachelors in Business Administration or similar from an accredited 4 year university
  • MBA desirable

 Additional Details:

      ·        Position is based in Seattle, WA

·        Travel required: 30%
